Politik Identitas dan Polaritas Sosial: Implikasi bagi Stabilitas Demokrasi Indonesia

This study investigates the impact of identity politics and social polarization on the democratic stability of Indonesia. With increasing political fragmentation, identity-based politics has gained prominence in the Indonesian political landscape, contributing to deepening divides among ethnic, religious, and social groups. The research explores how identity politics influences voting behavior, policy decisions, and public trust in democratic institutions. The findings highlight the potential risks of increased social polarization, including weakened social cohesion, rise in political extremism, and erosion of trust in the democratic process. The study concludes by recommending strategies for bridging divides, promoting inclusive political discourse, and reinforcing democratic values in Indonesia.
